Occupational
People may be exposed to dusts, fumes, vapours, fibres, gases or physical agents such as noise at work. Occasionally, these can be harmful to their health and may cause short or long term ill health, if exposure is not properly controlled. Sometimes symptoms take a long time to appear; therefore, it is important to know what their exposure is and then plan how to protect people working with hazardous substances and who may be affected by the work.
